Snipperclips is that rare thing: a genuinely wholesome co-op game that doesn't feel preachy about cooperation—it just bakes it into the mechanics. You can't solve puzzles without talking, planning, and sometimes laughing at your ridiculous paper-cutting failures.
The spatial reasoning is real, the tone is delightful, and there's zero garbage monetization or safety concerns. It's not going to change your kid's life or provide endless entertainment—once you've solved the puzzles, you're mostly done—but for a few hours of quality couch time, it's excellent.
Think of it as a digital board game: great for family game night, teaches real skills, and then you move on. At its 2017 launch price it was a no-brainer; even now it's a solid pickup for families with a Switch looking for something actually cooperative.
