Look, this show wanted to be the next big Disney+ adventure series, but it just... isn't. The ratings tell the story: 38% critics, 49% audience, 5.8 on IMDb. That's not 'divisive'—that's 'meh' across the board.
The concept is fine: young woman discovers her family's connection to a legendary treasure. The representation is good. The safety is solid. But if a show is boring, none of that matters. Disney canceled it after one season, which should tell you everything.
If your teen is desperate for treasure-hunt content, the original National Treasure movies (despite their age) are more fun. Or try something like The Mysterious Benedict Society for clever puzzles with better execution. This one's a skip unless you've literally exhausted every other option on Disney+.
