Mr. Potato Head is an absolute classic for a reason: it's durable, completely off-screen, and gives toddlers a low-stakes way to practice fine motor control while making goofy faces.
While the original 1952 version required sticking real pins into real grocery produce, modern sets are entirely plastic, chunky, and wash off easily under a sink. It won't keep an eight-year-old busy, but for the 2-to-4 crowd, it's a solid fixture in the toy bin.
