This series is a win for parents trying to get their kids to enjoy reading without it feeling like a chore. Harriet Muncaster has a knack for making books look like candy—the visual design is so intentional that kids want to own them just to look at them.
It’s not 'brain rot'—it’s actual storytelling that respects a 7-year-old's attention span. Mirabelle is a great character because she’s not a villain, but she’s definitely not a saint. She’s just a kid trying to figure out which half of her family she fits into, which is a pretty solid lesson wrapped in a lot of glitter and bat wings.
