Hungry Hungry Hippos is a classic for a reason, but that reason is mostly nostalgia and noise. It is the board game equivalent of a drum solo: loud, physical, and over quickly.
It’s a great 'bridge' game for preschoolers who aren't ready for rules but want to feel like they're playing with the big kids. Just be prepared for the inevitable 'lost marble' hunt and the sound of plastic hippos hitting the table at terminal velocity.
