Graveyard Keeper is essentially 'Goth Stardew Valley.' It takes the addictive loop of a farming sim and swaps out the sunshine for a shovel and some questionable ethics. It’s a high-quality indie title that doesn't hold your hand, making it perfect for a kid who wants a deep, complex strategy game that doesn't feel like it's for 'babies.'
It’s cynical, grindy, and weirdly charming. If your kid has already mastered Minecraft or Stardew and has a taste for the macabre, this is a solid pick. Just be prepared for them to start talking about the 'logistics' of medieval organ harvesting.
