Here's the truth: Fraggle Rock is a legitimately brilliant piece of children's television with incredible values, creativity, and heart. Jim Henson created something special that taught ecology, empathy, and cooperation through puppet magic.
But it's also 42 years old, and that matters. The pacing is slow, the production quality is dated, and modern kids—even young ones—are calibrated to much faster, shinier content. Your 5-year-old who loves Bluey might tap out after one episode.
This gets a 68 not because it's bad (it's not), but because the WISE score is meant to help you find things your kids will actually watch AND that meet our criteria. Fraggle Rock meets the criteria beautifully but fails the watchability test for most modern families.
If you're nostalgic or specifically seeking gentler, retro content, go for it. Otherwise, the 2022 Apple TV+ reboot might be a better gateway drug.
