Ahsoka is a love letter to Star Wars superfans, which is both its strength and fatal flaw. If your kid has watched Clone Wars and Rebels and can name all the characters, they'll probably enjoy seeing their favorites in live-action. If not, they'll spend eight episodes asking 'Who's that?' and 'Why do we care?'
The show itself is beautifully made but moves at a glacial pace—think prestige drama meets space wizards. It's more contemplative than exciting, which divided even adult fans. For kids, that's a tough sell unless they're already deeply invested.
Content-wise, it's standard Star Wars fare: lightsaber fights, moral lessons about good vs. evil, and some intense moments but nothing shocking for the franchise. The real barrier isn't safety—it's accessibility and entertainment value for anyone who hasn't already logged 100+ hours in this specific corner of the Star Wars universe.
