Uncharted is the cinematic equivalent of a solid 7/10 video game adaptation—which, let's be honest, is actually an achievement in that genre. Tom Holland brings his Spider-Man charm to Nathan Drake, and the buddy-comedy dynamic with Mark Wahlberg's Sully has its moments.
The problem? It's aggressively fine. The action is competent, the treasure-hunting puzzles are serviceable, and the plot hits every expected beat without surprise. It's not going to offend anyone (well, maybe hardcore game fans), but it's not going to blow anyone away either.
For families with tweens who love adventure movies, this works as a Saturday afternoon watch. The violence is typical PG-13 action fare—lots of punching and shooting but nothing graphic. The moral compass is a bit wobbly (everyone's lying to everyone for gold), but it lands on friendship and loyalty by the end.
Just don't expect Indiana Jones. Expect Indiana Jones ordered from Wish.
