Ultimate Spider-Man is the kid who won't stop doing voices and making references in class—some people think he's hilarious, others just want him to chill out. It's safe, it's colorful, and it's got Spider-Man, so plenty of kids will watch it. But it's also exhausting, lacks emotional depth, and feels more like a sugar rush than a satisfying meal.
The show tries to differentiate itself from other Spider-Man cartoons by going full meta-comedy with fourth-wall breaks and cutaway gags. Sometimes it works, often it doesn't. Parents will likely find it grating. Kids in the 7-10 range might genuinely enjoy it, especially if they're into Marvel.
It's not bad, but it's not great either. There are better superhero shows out there (the 2017 Spider-Man series is more watchable, honestly). This one's fine for background noise or if your kid is already obsessed with Spider-Man, but don't expect much beyond that.
