Unless your child is a literal prodigy in 19th-century geopolitics, The Invasion is going to be a paperweight. It’s a dense, multi-volume history of the Crimean War written in 1890, which means the sentences are long, the biases are strong, and the 'fun factor' is zero.
While it's a valuable resource for a history paper, it's the opposite of a 'recommendation' for casual reading. It gets a low WISE score not because it's 'bad,' but because it's functionally unreadable for a modern kid looking for entertainment or even standard enrichment.
