Look, if you're a die-hard Terminator fan or your teen is really into action movies, Dark Fate delivers explosions and Linda Hamilton kicking ass. But let's be real: this is the sixth film in a franchise that peaked in 1991, and the 6.2 IMDb rating tells you everything you need to know.
The violence is brutal and constant—a kid gets shot in the opening minutes, and it doesn't let up from there. This isn't Marvel-style action where everyone quips and nobody bleeds. People die, often graphically.
For families, this is strictly older teen (15-17+) and adult territory. If your teen loves sci-fi action and can handle R-rated violence, fine. But there are better movies to watch together. The philosophical questions about fate and AI are buried under so much CGI carnage that you'd need a excavation team to find them.
Bottom line: serviceable popcorn action for mature viewers, but nobody's childhood will be incomplete without seeing this one.
