Look, it's Sudoku. If your kid likes logic puzzles, this is a perfectly fine digital version with good features (notes, hints, undo, dark mode). Common Sense Media confirms it's appropriate for 7+ and free of sketchy content.
The problem? Most kids find Sudoku boring. This isn't Minecraft or even Wordle—it's homework disguised as a game. The enrichment value is real (pattern recognition, logical thinking), but the entertainment value is near zero unless your child is already wired for this kind of thing.
The bigger question: why are we doing Sudoku on a screen when paper versions exist and don't come with ads? If your kid genuinely enjoys this, great. But if you're pushing it because it feels educational, just know they're probably going to play two puzzles and then beg for YouTube.
Solid tool for the right kid. Snooze fest for most.
