If the first St Trinian's was a fun, chaotic breath of fresh air, this 2009 sequel is the stale leftovers. It tries to up the stakes with a pirate treasure hunt, but the jokes land with a thud and the 'raucous' energy feels forced.
It’s not 'dangerous' media, but it's definitely mid-tier. Unless your kid is a die-hard fan of the first movie or has a very specific craving for British slapstick, there are better ways to spend two hours. It’s the kind of movie that feels dated in its attempt to be 'edgy' for 2009.
