This is what PBS Kids does well: educational content that doesn't feel like homework, wrapped in stories that preschoolers actually want to watch. Rosie's Rules won't win any awards for groundbreaking storytelling, but it's a solid choice when you need 22 minutes of screen time that won't rot brains or teach your kid to scream at you.
The 'figuring it out herself' premise is genuinely good—it models problem-solving and independence rather than passive learning. And PBS Kids means you can actually walk away to make dinner without worrying about autoplay taking you to unboxing videos or worse.
That said, this is firmly in the little-kid zone. If your child is past the Daniel Tiger phase, they're probably past this too. It's not going to captivate a second-grader, and it's definitely not family viewing unless you have multiple kids at very different ages. But for that sweet spot of 4-6? It's a perfectly fine option that you won't hate having on in the background.
