This is one of those rare preschool picks that parents won't mind watching on repeat. It's well-made, genuinely sweet without being saccharine, and short enough that it doesn't feel like a commitment.
The story is simple but effective: a generous witch keeps inviting animals onto her broom, her cat gets increasingly annoyed, a dragon attacks, and the animal crew saves the day. The witch rewards them with a magnificent new broom that has room for everyone. It's a perfect little parable about inclusion and friendship that doesn't beat you over the head with its message.
At 25 minutes, it respects everyone's time. The animation is charming, the rhyming text from the original book translates well to screen, and the voice acting is solid. The dragon is mildly scary in that classic picture-book way—enough to add stakes but not enough to cause nightmares.
Is it groundbreaking? No. Will it change your child's life? Probably not. But it's a quality piece of children's media that does exactly what it sets out to do, and sometimes that's enough. If you're building a rotation of preschool content that isn't brain rot, this deserves a spot.
