Does this kit require glue or paint?

Nope. Like almost all modern Bandai kits, it's 'snap-fit.' The plastic is pre-colored, and the parts are engineered to lock together. You can paint it if you want to be fancy, but it looks incredible right out of the box.

Why do people call this kit a 'hand grenade'?

It's hobby slang for a kit that falls apart if you touch it. Because the Sinanju has very heavy armor pieces attached to a relatively small internal frame, parts (especially around the waist and toes) tend to pop off easily.

What tools do I actually need to buy?

At a minimum, you need a pair of 'hobby nippers' (side cutters) to get the parts off the plastic rails. A pair of fine-tip tweezers is also highly recommended for the tiny stickers.

How long does it take to build?
