Radiant Black is basically Spider-Man for the gig economy era. It takes the classic 'power and responsibility' hook and drops it into the lap of a guy who is failing at two jobs and drowning in debt. It’s stylish, fast-paced, and feels way more relevant than another reboot of a character created in 1962.
If your teen has outgrown the more sanitized MCU stuff but isn't quite ready for the pitch-black cynicism of The Boys, this is the sweet spot. It’s got the cosmic spectacle, but it keeps its feet firmly planted in the relatable struggle of just trying to get your life together.
