Nate the Great is a legend for a reason. Even though this book was written in 1989, the 'mystery' format is timeless and doesn't feel dated or 'cringe' to modern kids.
It’s the opposite of brain rot—it actually asks kids to pay attention to details and think several steps ahead. If you have a kid who is just starting to read real sentences, this is a much better use of their time than another generic tie-in book about a cartoon character.
