Here's the thing: this is a Nancy Drew game for the Leapfrog Didj, a handheld learning console that was already struggling when it launched and has been dead for over a decade. Even if you miraculously found working hardware, you'd be handing your kid a chunky green plastic brick with a tiny screen and gameplay that was basic even in 2009.
The content itself is fine—Her Interactive makes solid, non-violent mystery games, and spelling practice is never a bad thing. But this is museum-piece territory. If your kid is into Nancy Drew, steer them toward the excellent PC point-and-click series (which holds up surprisingly well) or literally any modern mystery game.
This isn't just dated; it's extinct. Pass.
