Look, this is the definition of 'fine.' It's not going to hurt anyone, but it's also not going to entertain anyone particularly well either.
The first Murder Mystery was a surprise Netflix hit, so they made a sequel that checks all the boxes without adding anything new. Critics and audiences agree it's mediocre (46% RT, 5.7 IMDb), and that Letterboxd score of 2.5/5 tells you everything—this is forgettable streaming content.
For families, it's technically appropriate for teens 13+ since the violence is cartoonish and the tone is light, but honestly? Your teen will probably be on their phone halfway through. There are so many better mystery comedies out there (Knives Out, anyone?) that this feels like settling.
It's safe, it's harmless, it's also pretty boring. If your kid is asking to watch it because they liked the first one, sure, go ahead. But don't expect this to become a favorite or spark any interesting conversations.
