Miss Americana is a solid documentary if you've got a teen Swiftie in the house or if you're curious about Swift's evolution from country darling to political voice. It's honest about eating disorders, the brutality of public scrutiny, and what it takes to find your voice when millions are watching.
That said, this isn't family movie night material. The themes are heavy—eating disorders, sexual assault case, intense criticism—and require real maturity. Younger kids will be bored anyway; this is firmly teen+ territory.
For the right audience (13+ Swifties, parents who want to understand the phenomenon, teens interested in celebrity culture or activism), it's enriching and conversation-worthy. For everyone else? You can skip it. It's well-made but ultimately a niche interest piece, not universally compelling content.
