Logan Lucky is a genuinely well-made heist comedy with strong reviews and clever writing. It's entertaining, funny, and showcases smart problem-solving. The challenge for parents is that it's fundamentally a crime caper where we're rooting for thieves.
For teens 13+, this can actually be a good conversation starter about economic inequality, desperation, and whether circumstances justify actions. The film doesn't glorify violence or show graphic content, but it does make crime look fun and clever.
It's a solid pick for older teens who can handle moral ambiguity and appreciate smart filmmaking. Just don't expect it to model great decision-making—unless you count 'how to plan an elaborate heist' as a life skill. (Let's hope not.)
