LEGO Indiana Jones is a solid family co-op game that takes the whip-cracking, boulder-dodging adventure of the films and turns it into something your 9-year-old can play with their little sibling without nightmares. The violence is pure cartoon slapstick, the co-op is genuinely fun (not just tacked-on), and there's zero online nonsense to worry about.
That said, it's a 2008 game. The graphics are blocky even by LEGO standards, the mechanics feel stiff compared to modern platformers, and the humor—while charming—leans heavily on physical comedy that might not land with every kid. If your family already loves the LEGO game formula (Star Wars, Marvel, etc.), this is more of the same but with fedoras and treasure hunting.
It's not going to blow anyone's mind in 2025, but for a rainy afternoon where you want something genuinely cooperative and safe? It gets the job done. Just manage expectations—this is nostalgia gaming, not cutting-edge entertainment.
