Jackie Chan Adventures is a solid piece of early 2000s Saturday morning cartoon nostalgia—if your kid can get past the dated animation style. It blends martial arts action with Chinese mythology in ways that are genuinely creative, and Jackie's relationship with his niece Jade models positive family dynamics.
The reality check: this show is 25 years old, and it shows. The animation, pacing, and episodic structure feel very much of their era. Modern kids raised on high-octane CGI and serialized storytelling might bounce off it quickly. It's not bad, but it's not appointment viewing either.
If you've got a kid who loves action, isn't picky about animation quality, and could use some exposure to non-Western mythology, it's worth a shot—especially since it's free on Tubi. But don't be surprised if they watch two episodes and wander off to play Roblox instead.
