Let's be real: this is a beautifully made, critically acclaimed limited series that 95% of families will have zero interest in watching. It's not for kids—at all—and it's really only for adults who are genuinely into theater history or who love Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams enough to watch them navigate a toxic, brilliant creative partnership.
The show is enriching and imaginative in its storytelling, but it's also depressing, adult, and requires you to care about Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon to get anything out of it. If you're a theater nerd or a dance enthusiast, this is appointment viewing. If you're looking for something to watch with your family or even just something entertaining after a long day, this ain't it.
The WISE score reflects that it's well-made and valuable for its target audience, but that audience is incredibly narrow.
