This is one of those rare kids' shows that actually delivers on its educational promise without being boring. Dana is a great role model—curious, persistent, scientific—and the dinosaur integration is genuinely clever.
The show won't win awards for production value, and it's definitely aimed at the younger set, but for preschool through early elementary, it's a solid choice that won't make parents cringe. Kids come away knowing real facts about Triceratops and Velociraptors, not just 'dinosaurs are cool.'
If you've got a 5-year-old who's obsessed with dinos, this is a no-brainer. If your kid is 10 and into Jurassic World, they'll probably find Dana too young. Know your audience.
