Diagon Alley is a charming relic of the early Pottermania era. It’s essentially 'Mall Madness' but with wands and owls. If you find a copy at a thrift store or in the back of a closet, it’s a solid way to spend 45 minutes with a young fan who is just starting the series.
That said, it definitely shows its age. Modern board games have mostly moved away from this kind of luck-dependent design because it can feel tedious. If your kid isn't a die-hard Harry Potter fan, they might find the 'go to the bank, then go to the shop' loop a little boring compared to snappier modern titles.
