Here's the truth: Charmed was a cultural phenomenon in the late 90s/early 2000s, and if you watched it as a teen, you probably have fond memories. But watching it now with your kids? It's rough.
The special effects are laughably bad, the fashion is aggressively dated (so much leather and crop tops), and the pacing feels glacial compared to what kids are used to today. Eight seasons of demon-fighting and romantic entanglements means a LOT of filler episodes. The core sisterhood theme is genuinely good, but it's buried under soap opera drama and monster-of-the-week plotting.
The content is solidly PG-13—too much violence and sexual content for younger kids, but not edgy enough to feel relevant to modern teens who have access to far more sophisticated fantasy shows. If your teen is really into supernatural stuff and can handle dated production values, maybe? But honestly, there are better options that won't make them ask why everyone's wearing butterfly clips.
