Bluebook is what it is: a necessary evil for the college-bound teen. It's not fun, it's not imaginative, and it's definitely not something your kid will open for leisure. But it's also not predatory, ad-riddled, or designed to waste time—it's a clean, functional tool for taking practice tests and the real deal on exam day.
The app itself is safe and straightforward, but the experience of using it is inherently stressful because, well, standardized tests. If your teen is gearing up for the SAT or AP exams, they'll need to download this and get comfortable with it. Just don't expect them to thank you for the suggestion.
In the grand scheme of educational apps, Bluebook scores points for being free, ad-free, and transparent about what it does. But let's be real: no one's putting this on their 'favorite apps' list. It's a means to an end, and that end is (hopefully) a decent test score and a college acceptance letter.
