Blaze is the preschool STEM show your kid's daycare probably has on in the background, and honestly? It does what it sets out to do. It's bright, safe, educational, and teaches actual science concepts in ways that stick with little kids.
The friendship between AJ and Blaze is genuinely sweet, and the show models problem-solving and persistence without being annoying about it. Crusher provides just enough conflict to keep things interesting without being scary or mean.
The downside? It's repetitive as hell. Every episode follows the exact same formula: race starts, Crusher cheats, problem arises, Blaze explains a STEM concept, they solve it, they win. By the tenth episode, you'll be able to predict every beat. But preschoolers LOVE repetition, so this is a feature, not a bug—for them.
It's held up reasonably well since 2014—the animation is decent, the concepts are timeless, and it's not cringe-inducing like some preschool shows. If your kid is in that sweet spot of loving trucks and being ready for basic science, this is a solid pick that won't rot their brain or yours (too much).
