This is the Batman show you've been looking for if you have elementary-aged kids who are superhero-obsessed. It's genuinely well-made (those RT scores don't lie), embraces the fun and absurdity of comics, and won't traumatize anyone with grimdark violence or scary imagery.
The show's whole vibe is 'what if Batman was actually fun to be around?' He teams up with a different DC hero each episode—sometimes it's Green Arrow or Flash, sometimes it's Plastic Man or B'wana Beast (yeah, I don't know either). This structure keeps things fresh and introduces kids to the massive DC universe beyond the Justice League A-listers.
The 2008 animation style is deliberately retro, which some kids will dig and others might find old-looking compared to modern shows. But the writing holds up, there are legitimately funny moments, and it treats its young audience with respect. It's not dumbed down, just age-appropriate.
If your kid is 6-10 and wants to watch Batman, this is your move. It's available on HBO Max, has kids mode enabled, and you can actually sit through it without wanting to claw your eyes out. Win-win-win.
