Bad Counselors looks like it's aiming to be Sister Act for the Barstool Sports generation. It's a classic imposter comedy where the 'bad guys' inevitably get softened by a group of earnest kids, but you'll have to sit through a lot of beer-and-bro humor to get to the heart.
If your teen likes the kind of comedy that mocks 'the system' while eventually folding into a standard feel-good ending, this will be right up their alley. Just don't expect a deep dive into faith—the camp is mostly a backdrop for frat-boy shenanigans and fish-out-of-water gags.
