Arsenal Mage is a classic 'fish out of water' fantasy that will land perfectly with kids who have already burned through Percy Jackson or enjoy LitRPG-style stories. It’s light, probably a bit snarky, and moves fast.
While the opening 'push' is a bit grim, the story quickly pivots into the fun of discovering a new world. It’s the kind of book that keeps a reluctant reader turning pages because they want to see the next 'upgrade' or magical gadget.
