Zombicide: 2nd Edition is the 'blockbuster movie' of board games. It’s loud, visceral, and genuinely fun to play in a group.
The 2nd edition fixed the annoying 'friendly fire' rules from the original, making it much less frustrating for families. It’s not 'educational' in the traditional sense, but the level of communication required to not get eaten is better than any corporate team-building exercise.
Just be ready for the 'horror' theme; if your kid is sensitive to monsters or blood in drawings, maybe skip to a superhero-themed alternative. Otherwise, it's a solid gold addition to a family game night.
