The stance is the joke, not the challenge
WarioWare: Move It! is built around one new mechanic: before every microgame, you and your Joy-Con lock into a "Form," a named stance the game calls out a half-second before four seconds of gameplay begin. Punch stance for the boxing games, chicken stance for the egg-squeezing games, ski stance for the racing ones. The pose gets a laugh before the microgame even resolves.
Every one of the 200-plus microgames opens with a Form like this one, read from your actual stance.
Solo shrinks it, a crowd grows it
Story Mode runs one or two players through all 200-plus microgames with escalating speed, funny enough alone for an afternoon. Party Mode is where the design opens up: up to four players, each holding one Joy-Con, take turns on a board-game track that lands on group microgames like the sheep-wrangling one below.
Most microgames scale from a solo round to a four-player pile-up without changing the rules.
Nintendo Life gave it 8/10, praising the multiplayer and noting the solo run "isn't as much raucous fun when played alone." That matches what the game rewards: buy it for game night, not for a kid's solo Switch time.
Worth $49.99?
At full retail, WarioWare: Move It! costs the same as any first-party Switch title, and Amazon shoppers rate it 4.6 out of 5 across 240-plus reviews. If your family already owns Nintendo Switch Sports or Ring Fit Adventure and likes getting off the couch, this earns a spot next to them. It runs $49.99 at Nintendo's store and usually the same at Amazon.
