It’s a bit dated (2011), and some of the suggestions feel a little 'I just discovered a word-of-the-day calendar,' but as a functional tool for writing, it’s harmless and helpful. It’s the kind of thing you keep on the shelf for when you're tired of saying 'very' forty times in one paragraph. Just don’t expect your middle-schooler to care about it unless they're trying to win a very specific argument.
