If you can get past the controversial start, it’s a solid story about innovation and resilience. But don't go in expecting a lighthearted adventure; this is a story about a guy with a massive chip on his shoulder trying to survive a world that wants him dead.

This is strictly for older teens (14+) who can handle the dark premise. The combination of slavery as a plot device and the false rape accusation makes this a 'read-together-and-discuss' item rather than something to just hand over.
