Here's the thing: Seoul Busters is perfectly safe. Mild violence, mild language, no inappropriate content. It's got a nice underdog story about a struggling police squad teaming up with an elite leader to level up.
But it's also just... not good. Decider straight-up recommends skipping it, calling it 'broad and goofy, but not all that funny.' Another reviewer gave it 2.5 out of 5 stars and described it as 'underwhelming.' The IMDb rating of 8.0 feels generous compared to what critics are saying.
If you're looking for a Korean crime-comedy, there are better options out there. This one has the safety box checked but fails the 'would anyone actually want to watch this?' test. Life's too short for mediocre TV, even when it's wholesome mediocre TV.
