MrBallen is the digital version of the guy at the campfire who knows exactly how to make your skin crawl. He’s incredibly talented, respectful of the dead, and has a knack for finding the weirdest stories on the planet.

However, this is 'Strange, Dark, and Mysterious' for a reason. It's heavy. If your kid is into true crime, this is one of the higher-quality options out there, but you need to be aware that the subject matter is 100% adult. It’s not 'brain rot'—it’s actually very high-level storytelling—but it is dark.

This is strictly for the 14+ crowd. Even though there's no visual gore (he's just talking), the mental images he paints are heavy, dark, and often involve the worst things humans do to each other. It's great for adults and mature teens who love a good mystery, but it's nightmare fuel for younger kids.
