Cabin Fever is arguably one of the strongest entries in the Wimpy Kid saga. It takes the series' established formula—Greg being a bit of a brat—and traps him in a high-stakes (for a kid) blizzard scenario.
While Greg isn't exactly a moral compass, his internal monologue is a great way for kids to process their own 'less-than-perfect' thoughts. It’s safe, it’s funny, and in a world of brain-rot tablets, this is a book that actually gets kids to sit still and read for an hour. It’s not literary gold, but it’s a literacy win.
