If you're an intentional parent, the Apple ecosystem is the most robust place to be. It’s not a 'set it and forget it' solution, but Apple gives you the most granular tools to actually be the algorithm for your kid.
The 'Ask to Buy' feature alone is worth the price of admission. It forces a conversation every time they want something new, which is the exact opposite of the 'checked-out' default we're trying to avoid. Just don't trust the Screen Time limits to do the parenting for you—clever kids treat those limits like a puzzle to be solved.
