Look, this is a brilliant show. Hugh Grant is phenomenal, the writing is sharp, and it's the kind of prestige British drama that makes you feel smarter for watching it. Critics loved it for good reason.
But why are we even talking about this on a platform for parents? Because it's streaming on Prime Video and someone might wonder if their teen can watch it. The answer is: probably not, unless they're a very mature 17-year-old who's into political dramas.
This is a show about a real British MP who had an affair with a younger man, then tried to have him murdered to cover it up. It's dark, morally complex, and deals with heavy themes of power, sexuality (during a time when being gay was literally illegal), manipulation, and conspiracy.
For adults? Chef's kiss. Pour yourself a drink and enjoy some top-tier television. For kids? Absolutely not. For older teens interested in history and politics? Maybe, with context and conversation. But this isn't family viewing by any stretch.
