Unless you are raising a future film historian or a vintage noir enthusiast, The Drama is likely going to be a hard sell. It’s a perfectly functional melodrama from the late 30s, but it lacks the 'timeless' quality of the era's heavy hitters like Casablanca.
It’s safe in the sense that 1930s movies are generally scrubbed clean of anything truly shocking, but the combination of outdated pacing and a fairly niche plot makes it more of a curiosity than a recommendation. If your kid is into history or old-school spy vibes, maybe give it a look; otherwise, there are better ways to spend 95 minutes.
