Just be prepared for some heavy lifting; this isn't a beach read, it’s a 'sit in a dark room and contemplate the decline of Western civilization' read.
For a high schooler interested in journalism, history, or just looking for a voice that isn't pandering to them, it's a 10/10. For a middle schooler, it’s a confusing snooze-fest with a side of trauma.
