Look, this is a 2016 Ice Age short that nobody asked for and almost nobody enjoyed. The ratings tell the whole story: 22% from critics, 36% from audiences, 2.9/5 on Letterboxd. It's safe, sure—Scrat does his usual slapstick shtick in space—but it's also completely forgettable and brings nothing new to the table.
Is it harmful? No. Will your kid be traumatized? Absolutely not. Will anyone remember watching it? Also no. There are literally thousands of better options for short-form kids' content, from Pixar shorts to modern animated series.
If your kid is obsessed with Ice Age and has already watched everything else seventeen times, fine, throw this on. Otherwise, it's a hard pass. The franchise was already running on fumes by 2016, and this space-themed cash-grab proves it.
