Roofman is a perfectly fine adult crime drama that older teens and parents might find engaging, but it's absolutely not for kids or even young teens. The critical reception is solid, suggesting it's competently made and reasonably entertaining.
That said, the core premise—criminal hides, lies about identity, starts relationship under false pretenses—isn't exactly enriching material for developing minds. It's the kind of movie that works as a character study for mature viewers who can grapple with moral ambiguity, but it's not offering much in terms of positive modeling or life lessons beyond 'crime has consequences' and 'lying is complicated.'
If you're looking for something to watch after the kids are in bed, sure. But this isn't making anyone's list of must-see cinema, and it's definitely not a Screenwise priority for family viewing. It's a 15+ drama that'll probably be forgotten in a year.
