Let's be real: Obsessed is a bad movie. Like, objectively bad. Critics gave it 19%, audiences shrugged with 46%, and it sits at a dismal 5.0 on IMDb. It's a warmed-over Fatal Attraction knockoff with none of the tension or intelligence of the original.
The premise—temp worker stalks married boss—had potential, but the execution is flat, predictable, and brings nothing new to the table. Even with Idris Elba and Beyoncé in the cast, the movie can't overcome its generic script and paint-by-numbers direction.
For parents: this is absolutely not for kids (stalking, violence, psychological manipulation), but it's also not really worth your time as an adult. If you want a good thriller about obsession, watch Fatal Attraction or Single White Female. If you want to see Beyoncé fight someone, just watch the music video for 'Hold Up.'
The WISE score reflects both the content concerns AND the fact that this is just not good cinema. Life's too short for bad thrillers.
