This is the good stuff. Lucy Wow takes STEM seriously without turning into a lecture, wrapping engineering concepts in actual stories with a character who fails as much as she succeeds. That's huge—most kids' content either dumbs down the science or makes everything work perfectly the first time.
The audio format is a feature, not a bug. Kids get to imagine what Lucy's inventions look like, which builds creative visualization skills that screen-based content can't touch. Plus, it's genuinely entertaining—Patrick Carman knows how to write for kids, and the voice cast brings it to life.
If your kid is already into robotics, Legos, or taking apart the toaster, this is an instant win. If they're not naturally drawn to STEM, it might still hook them with the storytelling. Either way, it's smart, wholesome, and actually enriching without being annoying about it.
