Look, this isn't offensively bad—it's just aggressively mediocre. The LEGO/Scooby-Doo crossover should be a slam dunk (both franchises are beloved!), but this feels like it was assembled by a committee checking boxes rather than anyone with actual creative vision.
The good news: it's totally safe, the gang models teamwork, and very young kids who are scared of regular Scooby-Doo will find this version much gentler. The bad news: those audience scores don't lie. At 43% on Rotten Tomatoes and 2.9/5 on Letterboxd, even fans thought this was a miss.
If your kid is 6 and obsessed with both LEGO and Scooby, sure, throw it on. But if you're looking for quality family viewing, there are way better options in both the LEGO movie universe (The LEGO Movie itself is genuinely great) and Scooby-Doo catalog. This one's a 'rainy day when you've exhausted everything else' pick at best.
